On the 23rd of May 2023, the VERTECS collaboration, along with various partners and stakeholders, successfully completed the Mission Definition Review (MDR). This achievement marks a significant milestone in the project’s development and brings it one step closer to realizing its mission objectives. The purpose of MDR is to examine the proposed requirements, the mission architecture, and the flow down to all functional elements of the mission to ensure that the overall concept is complete, feasible, and consistent with available resources.
The VERTECS MDR saw team members and stakeholders make presentations on the architecture and requirements of each satellite subsystem. The presentations were followed by questions and robust discussions.
With the completion of the Mission Definition Review, the project team can now proceed with detailed design and engineering phases, which will pave the way for the construction and launch of the nanosatellite.
