On June 26, 2026, Spanish space hardware manufacturer DHV Technology published a news article about its first direct collaboration with Kyushu Institute of Technology on the VERTECS mission.
DHV Technology supplied the deployable solar array paddle for VERTECS. After its launch from the Tanegashima Space Center aboard the sixth H3 Launch Vehicle on June 12, 2026, VERTECS successfully deployed the paddle in orbit and confirmed power generation.
This achievement resulted from close technical collaboration between DHV Technology and the Kyushu Institute of Technology–VERTECS team throughout satellite design, assembly, integration, and testing.
VERTECS carries a deployable solar array paddle tailored to the mission’s observation requirements and satellite system in order to provide the electrical power required for the mission. Confirming successful deployment and power generation in orbit is an important milestone for subsequent initial and observation operations.
